Esthetician
Estheticians, or Aestheticians, attend school to develop knowledge and skills required for preventative skin care and treatments to keep skin healthy and attractive. They attend courses that encompass professional image, skin analysis, anatomy and physiology, histology, diseases and disorders of the skin, depilatory, sterilization & sanitation, and basic make-up artistry. In addition, they also learn how to provide basic treatments for the face, as well as how to indulge clients with basic spa services. Our esthetician works closely with your practitioner to provide you with a comprehensive and individualized skin care plan.
Tamara Palmer, Licensed Esthetician
Tamara joined Palmetto Dermatology in 2008. She attended Esthetics International - South Carolina's oldest esthetics institute. Prior to becoming an esthetician, she was a make-up artist with Estee Lauder for six years. She has also attended Westmore Academy Cosmetic School and is certified in bridal make-up application.
